Cooking and Craft

Since the inception of the Somerford Show, the exhibition tent has been a key attraction of show day.

Each year there are hundreds of hand made entries across a wide variety of classes, including:

  • Needlework and Knitting
  • Arts
  • Photography
  • Cooking and Baking
  • Flower Arranging

Children’s classes are split across four age ranges (5 and under; 8 and under; 11 and under; 16 and under) and include a variety of items across arts, crafts, baking, modelling and flower arranging. All classes are always keenly contested across all generations!

The deadline for submitting entries is 17.00 on Thursday 7th August and late entries can not be accepted.

The deadline for submission is entries is 17.00 on Thursday 7th August and we regret that we are unable to accept late entries.

Exhibits are to be dropped at the Show Ground on the day and are not to be submitted with entry forms.

FAQ

When do I need to enter by?

All entry forms must be received no later than 17.00 on Thursday 7th Augsut.

When do I need to bring my exhibit to the exhibition tent?

All exhibits to be brought to the Show Ground Tent between 08.00 – 10.30 on Saturday 9th August (Show Day).

When can I collect my entries?

Entries can be collected after the DRAW at approx.. 5pm

How many times can I enter?

You can enter as many classes as you would like.
Please note: No Exhibitor will be allowed more than one prize in any one class and can enter no more than 3 entries in a class.

Can I try again with a previous entry?

No Exhibits to be shown that have previously been shown at Somerford Show.
